Raster to Vector (R2V) Software is a simple functional application giving you instant results by producing straighter lines supported by cleaner corners and joins. You save time because the conversion process requires much less and sometimes no clean up or redrawing – printed at any resolution.

Fast — R2V’s raster to vector conversion process is fully automatic and needs no human intervention. Display the scanned image on screen and select the vectorization command. That is all it takes! The lines are extracted in seconds and displayed right on top of the image for you to verify and edit. Do away with slow and inaccurate hand tracing on a digitizing tablet!

Smoother Images — Our vectorized images have no jaggedness, no loss in detail and can be printed at any resolution or any size. They can be scaled up or down without any loss in quality. In a computerized set-up, vector data is more agile as it contains fewer data items and scales easily. These attributes make vector data indispensable in GIS, mapping, and CAD software packages.

What does R2V do to color maps? After scanning them in color, R2V classifies the colors and vectorizes each color separately thus creating more accurate color DXF files.

Better Accuracy — R2V helps to vectorize scanned maps and drawings automatically, at a high accuracy level where the raster images are scanned at a high resolution. In fact, for some of our military and aircraft work, we have had to achieve accuracy down to .005".
